EAC Community Forum - NDIS Reassessments: Your questions answered

Big changes are happening across the NDIS, and many people with disability and their families are worried about what comes next.

What happens when your current NDIS plan ends? Will you need a reassessment? What evidence should you have ready? And how will the new rules affect the supports you rely on?

There are plenty of questions, and getting clear answers isn't always easy.

That's why Every Australian Counts is bringing our community together for a special online forum to help make sense of the changes and talk about how we can prepare.

What we'll talk about

Join Dr George Taleporos, members of the Every Australian Counts Steering Committee and invited experts as we explore:

• What's changing: Understanding the new NDIS assessment and planning processes.

• What happens to your plan: What to expect when your current plan reaches its end date.

• Preparing for reassessment: Practical steps you can take now.

• Getting your evidence together: What reports and information might be needed, and what questions remain unanswered.

• Your rights: What to do if you disagree with a decision or are worried about losing essential supports.

• 24/7 support needs: Questions about how assessments will consider family members and informal carers.

• Where to get help: Finding independent disability advocacy, legal assistance and support.
