    Event description

    Dear EAC Community Members,

We are excited to invite you to a crucial forum discussing the upcoming NDIS bill, scheduled for May 11th, from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM AEST. This virtual event will take place on Zoom, providing a platform for you to understand, discuss, and voice your opinions on significant proposed changes to the NDIS.

The new NDIS bill introduces a range of changes that could impact many aspects of how you receive and manage your support. To help you navigate these proposed changes, experts from the Public Interest Advocacy Centre (PIAC) will provide a comprehensive overview and explanation. This session will cover:

    • Detailed insights into each proposed change in the NDIS bill.
    • What these changes could mean for you and your ability to control and tailor your support.

Following the presentation, there will be a Q&A session where you can ask questions directly to the PIAC representatives. This is your opportunity to seek clarity and further understanding about the bill.

The forum will conclude with an open discussion, allowing you to share your thoughts and opinions on the proposed changes. Your input is invaluable as it helps shape the community's response to the legislation.

Registration is essential to attend this forum. We will send the link to the forum the day before and day of the forum. If you don’t receive it, please check your spam folder.

We will have an Auslan Interpreter and live captioning. If you have any other access needs, please contact communications@everyaustraliancounts.com.au as soon as possible.

We strongly encourage all members of the EAC community to join this forum. Your involvement is key to ensuring that the NDIS continues to provide the support and choices that are essential to you.
