EAC Forum: The Latest on the NDIS Bill and How to Be Heard with Naomi Anderson
Event description
Dear EAC Community Members,
A lot has happened since our last community forum on the NDIS bill, so we are hosting another forum to update you on the latest news about the bill and what you can do to have your voice heard. It is scheduled for Friday the 28th of June from 12:00pm to 1:30 pm Melbourne Time. This forum will take place on Zoom, providing a platform for you to understand, discuss, and voice your opinions on significant proposed changes to the NDIS.
Naomi Anderson, the Legal Practice Manager from the Villamanta Disability Rights Legal Service will fill us in on what’s been happening to the Bill. Naomi is a Human Rights Lawyer, passionate about equality of rights, access and opportunity. She has many years of experience working with people with disability, and is a strong advocate for the rights of people with disability.
The forum will end with an open discussion, allowing you to share your thoughts and opinions on the legislation.
We will have an Auslan Interpreter and live captioning. If you have any other access needs, please contact communications@everyaustraliancounts.com.au as soon as possible.
If you're unable to attend, we ask that you do not RSVP a ticket. Everyone who is registered to our email list will receive the recording of this forum. If you are not registered for our newsletter, you can go here.
