ABOUT THE PROGRAM
L.BEETHOVEN, Sonata for Piano & Violin No.1|C.FRANCK, Violin Sonata | M.RAVEL, Violin Sonata No. 2 |Solo Interludes & Improvisations
These works engage the piano and violin in rich dialogue. As with good conversation, sensitive listening shapes the quality of the musical response. Beethoven’s sonata has a driving yet light energy, the Franck Sonata was a wedding gift - truly Romantic and the Ravel is innovative and eclectic, embracing new tonal colours and jazz rhythms.
