Event description

Bush Balance is an outdoor play session for young children (0-5's) and their carers. Bush Balance aims to connect inner city children with small pockets of bush in their local area.

This event is a one off Saturday session for children aged 0-8, accompanied by a carer.

There will be opportunities for storytelling, imaginative play, creative arts, construction and exploration. Play sessions will include a short welcome, acknowledgement of country and storytime but the majority of the time the children will choose their play.

At Bush Balance children will be encouraged to take calculated risks to aid their physical, emotional and cognitive development.

One way we seek to minimize this risk is to require parents/carers to be actively involved in their child’s play. At times this may mean you are directly involved in your child’s play, at other times you may be observing at a distance. We strive to find the difficult balance between allowing children to direct their own play whilst still being an engaged observer.

Bush Balance will take all reasonable safety precautions to keep children and carers safe. Bush Balance has acquired liability insurance and this insurance requires all participants to sign the enrolment form and waiver (emailed to you once tickets are purchased).
