Earth block–making workshop
Event description
Join Architect Andre Bonnice (Simulaa) and architectural designer Lucas Osborn for a workshop on making non-toxic, breathable and endlessly reusable earth blocks.
These hands-on sessions will equip you with practical skills and feed your curiosity about sustainable alternatives to concrete and traditional fired bricks. This method champions circular construction using raw, local materials that can be recycled or returned to the earth at their end of life.
Drop by MPavilion Parkville between 11am and 3pm on Thursday 27 and Friday 28 March to make your own brick. Workshops will be held at 12 and 1 pm. You are welcome to take your brick home of leave it to dry.
Please note: making earth blocks can be messy. Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty and closed toe shoes.
