Event description
Earth Cafes
The Earth Cafe is a peer support arena to cultivate a Regenerative human presence on Earth.
A Regenerative Culture practices ecoresilience, decolonises, learns from Indigenous wisdoms and stewards a thriving planet for all, through the deep adaptation of human systems.
Regeneration puts LIFE at the centre of every act and every decision, ***Degeneration is stealing the future, Regeneration is healing the future.***
In this cafe we practise empathic listening to our hearts pains and desires, to share our feelings about the climate emergency, ecological degradation, disaster recovery, political and social unrest, to support each other to feel, vision and make space for the Regenerative world that is calling to be borne. When feelings are felt and released, deeper wisdom can be contacted, active hope is cultivated and the regeneration is catalysed!
"Times are urgent, we must slow down" ~ Bayo Akomolafe: Emergence Network~
"Climate [and Earth] emotions conversations ARE a political act" ~Margaret Klein Salamon: Climate Awakening~
"This is a dark time, filled with suffering and uncertainty. Like living cells in a larger body, it is natural that we feel the trauma of our world. So don’t be afraid of the anguish you feel, or the anger or fear, because these responses arise from the depth of your caring and the truth of your interconnectedness with all beings...
Out of this darkness a new world can arise, from our dreams." ~Joanna Macy: The Work that Reconnects~
