Earth Dance - Summer Celebration

The Neon Ochre Collective is excited to announce a special offering in our Earth Dance series.

As the sun warms our bones and lights our way, we call in the wide-angle vision of what's possible. Inviting synchronicity, flow, and connection, we allow our gifts to shine through in the radiance of summer light. We welcome each other in community and warmth, in all our diversity and colour.

In ceremony, with deep breath, in true presence with each other.

 We are stoked to welcome Freya Morgaine - to guide us in a skilled somatic sound journey 

Born and raised in Central Victoria, but freshly returned from living in Latin America, Freya Morgaine weaves funky, ecstatic, bass-heavy sets rich with medicine, Latin and Afro influences.

She is a co-founder of Earth Dance and the founder of Salvaje Ecstatic Dance (Peru). She’s deeply passionate about music and movement as medicine and about creating ceremonial dance spaces for wild, free expression, play and transformation.

Freya has shared her music across festivals, clubs and ecstatic dances around the world, and she’s excited to bring her sound back to her home turf and community, for her very first set back in Australia.

The event will be opened with a cacao ceremony to set our intentions and support your dance journey. Sourced from Tonzantin - Aztec Artisan Chocolate, made in ceremony, organic, sustainable, and stone ground with blue corn and a subtle amount of chilli; this is high quality, delicious medicine. Following the set, you will be provided with a simple, nourishing meal to ground and replenish your energy. The kitchen queen Nectar Connector will serve a delicious seasonal offering with all dietary needs considered.

The Flow:

5pm Arrival to drop into the space
5.30pm Doors close for opening circle and cacao ceremony
Movement practice
DJ Set
8.15pm Closing circle
8.30pm Dinner Service, followed by Chai and chats

This event will be held on Djaara country at Yandoit Farm. This beautiful property has a dam and sauna, so bring your bathers (and two towels for the sauna) if you'd like to refresh your dance body during the afternoon and evening.

Please note that to hold the ceremonial container, doors and entry will close at 5.30pm. We suggest arriving early, so we have enough time to welcome you before we begin at 5.30pm sharp.
