East Gippsland Sustainable Living and Makers Festival

The Rotary Club of Mitchell River, Bairnsdale is hosting the second East Gippsland Makers' Festival at the Bairnsdale Racecourse on the 19th of April, Easter Saturday, 2025 following its great success in 2024. 

The festival will bring together artisans and makers to showcase their skills, offer demonstrations and to provide opportunities to purchase their wares. This year will also feature a wood carving exhibition and demonstrations by the East Gippsland Historical Re-enactment Society. 

Modelled on the concept of a Lost Trades Fair, a range of talented artisans who either work in the lost trades or newly emerging arts and crafts will be attending. Live music and free entertainment for children will be running throughout the day along with a range of demonstrations featuring wood carving, wood turning, upholstery, cider making, sewing, spinning and lots more. Great food will also be available to purchase.
