Event description

Join the Australia-Japan Society and Embassy of Japan in Australia for a celebration of the Australia-Japan friendship through music.

This year we are once again joined by Aiko Goto of the Australian Chamber Orchestra on violin, alongside Chinami Tokai (violin) and Szu Yu Chen (piano).

Programme:

  1. Handel, Triosonata in G minor for 2 Violins and Piano Op.2-5, HMV390

  2. Martinu, Madrigal Sonata for Piano and 2 Violins, (Original Piano, Flute, and Violin) 

  3. R. Schumann, Violin and Piano from Three Romances Op. 94, No.1 Nicht Schnell and No.2 Einfach, innig (8min)  

  4. Shostakovich, 5 Pieces for 2 Violins and Piano 

  5. J.S.Bach, Concerto for 2 Violins and Piano

Afternoon tea kindly provided by the Embassy of Japan following the performance.

All proceeds of this charity concert will go towards the Noto Peninsula Earthquake Recovery.
