Event description

Hello beautiful people of Gold Coast and Waldorf Community.

Let's take a moment out of the daily and ordinary - let's come together and celebrate!

You and your family are invited to join the Sophia Waldorf School Initiative to celebrate an Easter Festival.

Festivals have always played a vital part for humanity. No matter what background or faith we are or have, festivals provide nourishment to the individual and bring the community together in meaningful ways.

Easter is considered by many to be the most important festival of the year. Its depth invites us to ponder and connect with the mystery of Life and its cycles.

Our Easter Festival will be held on Sunday the 13th of April from 3:30pm - 6:00 pm at the Bert Swift Community Centre in Nerang.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT :

- welcome circle - we will share season inspired songs, verses, finger play and we will listen to a short Easter inspirational speech + meet the board members

- meaningful craft activity - we will decorate together an Easter Wish Tree

- sharing a wholesome meal together + raffle

- season inspired story

- story inspired activity for children

- boiled and dyed egg hunt in darkness for children (using torches around 6 pm)

- farewell circle and Q/A regarding the school initiative

WHAT TO BRING : Each family please bring :

* a wholesome meal to share
* naturally dyed hard boiled egg for each child from your family

* a torch for each child from your family

* small voluntary donation for the community and cash for the raffle

This festival will also be an opportunity for you to meet the board members of the Sophia Waldorf School Initiative and ask any questions.
