Eastwood SEP PWG Meeting 4
Description
On behalf of the City of Ryde, we are pleased to invite you to the fourth Precinct Working Group (PWG) meeting for the Eastwood Special Entertainment Precinct (SEP). Thank you for your continued involvement as a PWG member. At this session, we will present the progress on the noise mapping and draft controls for the Precinct Management Plan (PMP), and ask for your feedback.
PWG Meeting 4 Focus
This workshop is a chance to hear how work on the Precinct Management Plan (PMP) is progressing. Joel Parry-Jones from PKA Acoustics and Lee Mulvey from Mulvey Town Planning will talk through the work so far on sound and trading hours in the precinct. Your feedback will help guide the next stages of developing the PMP.
About the Project
The City of Ryde is establishing a Special Entertainment Precinct in the Eastwood Town Centre to support and manage the growth of a safe and vibrant 24-hour economy. The SEP will build on Eastwood's well-established night-time character, further positioning it as a safe and welcoming destination. Alongside this, the City is investigating Purple Flag accreditation, with the hope that Eastwood will join a global network of more than 100 destinations that have achieved this status.
As part of establishing the SEP, the City is required to develop a Precinct Management Plan setting clear regulations for trading hours and sound conditions. Your role as a Precinct Working Group member will help ensure this plan reflects the needs and priorities of the Eastwood community.
To support this process, the City of Ryde is collaborating with Cobalt Engagement to design and facilitate the Precinct Working Group workshops, drawing on their expertise in community engagement to ensure the sessions are meaningful and productive for all involved.
