Event description

Chloë and Jason Roweth sing up the songs in celebration of the great triumvirate - Robert Hunter, Jerry Garcia and Bob Dylan. Commemorating the recent loss of the great Phil Lesh, and the 30th anniversary of the passing of Jerry Garcia.

Hosted by Groove Kitchen, supporting live and local music for musicians in Orange, NSW.

Together, Jason & Chloë have been researching and presenting the living tradition of Australian music for over thirty years, they've played venues of all shapes and kinds, recorded over forty albums, and toured extensively. Since their early rock 'n' roll and Indie band days they have been drawn to the groundbreaking music and soul shaking lyrics of the Grateful Dead and Bob Dylan. Stripping back these songs to their essence and rediscovering them acoustically has been a constant joy - one that's meant to be shared.

“Songs you can play on stage without feeling like an idiot … Dylan has written songs that touch into places people have never sung about before … tremendously powerful. And he can write a beautiful melody.” – Garcia on Dylan

“Never play it the same way once.” – Phil Lesh

“The only one in the world who knows what it’s like to be me.” – Dylan on Garcia
