Eat, Prey, Love - a story of insect predators and pollinators

Join Faye Arcaro on a fascinating journey of discovery to learn about native predator and pollinator insects and the important role they play in our natural environment.

Often moving about unseen or unnoticed, insects are critical components of a healthy environment. Predator insects are the first line of defense against pest insects that would otherwise cause havoc spreading disease and destroying food crops, forests and gardens. And pollinators are essential for growing food and ensuring the reproduction cycle continues for most flowering plants. Join us for this presentation as we explore some of the local predator and pollinator insects we can expect to find us.

Faye Arcaro is a horticulturist, keen photographer, writer and cohost of Curtin Radios’ Let’s Talk Gardening program.  She is a citizen scientist and keen observer of micro life forms sharing her knowledge through workshops and community education.
