I’m Liza Baker. (It’s pronounced Leeza.)
Employee wellness consultant, health coach, author, blogger, podcaster, and CEO (chief everything officer) of a busy family of four—plus 1 furbaby—spread across the globe: I bring my passion, knowledge, and experience to the table to help you—and/or your team—reach your health and wellness goals in a simple, sustainable fashion.
what do i do?
Whether it’s through employee wellness programs or 1:1 and group programs for individuals, my sweet spot as a coach is supporting the under-appreciated, under-listened to, under-taken-care-of, under-valued, overwhelmed, overworked, over-scheduled, overtired, and OVER. IT. ALL. women 50+ who work in the mission-driven/nonprofit sector. And yes—even if you can't relate to all that, my work can support you, too!

my background
In my previous lives, I got my BA Chinese Language + Literature from Middlebury College and my MA in Chinese Literature from the University of Colorado at Boulder. (I know, sounds weird, but it totally relates to my current work, I promise!)
I received my health coach certification—as well as secondary certifications in Emotional Eating Psychology and Hormone Health—from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition® and an AAS in Culinary Arts from the Cooking + Hospitality Institute of Chicago (later part of Le Cordon Bleu). In the years BC (before children), I was the owner and executive chef of a catering and private chef company in Chicago, and I’ve taught meal planning, cooking, and nutrition to all ages—from 7 to 97!
I live in a (mostly) empty nest in South Burlington, VT and am passionate about health + happiness, education + empowerment, SOLE/SOUL food + social justice.

I know the value of nutrition (both the whole foods variety and the more holistic kind) and I can help you discover and integrate the food and lifestyle choices that nourish you—without adding more “shoulds” and hours to your already overwhelming schedule.
I firmly believe it’s not just possible to be well while doing good: for us to do our best work in the world, it’s imperative that we’re not just surviving but thriving.
