Event description
Join the department for this free event with your peers from across the early childhood education and care (ECEC) sector. This session provides you with the opportunity to learn more about the latest reforms affecting your work, ask questions and talk to our staff.
There is also an opportunity to attend the networking lunch from 12:30pm after the morning session.

What you can expect to discuss for the roundtable topics:Â
Focus on quality areas: Attendees will receive a list of resources and programs on meeting the NQS. There will also be opportunities to learn about and discuss improvements to quality practices to meet the National Quality Standard (NQS) in the following areas:Â
- 2.1.2 – Health practices and proceduresÂ
- 2.2.2 – Incident and emergency managementÂ
- 7.1.2 – Management SystemsÂ
Transitioning children from ECEC to school: Share your transition to school practices and experiences with the Transition to School Digital Statement and inform the departments future planning. Help us to understand how we can better support your service in enhancing children and families in the transition to school.  Â
100 public preschools: Discuss the next steps in the 100 preschools program and how the department can work with ECEC services in the delivery of the 100 preschools.Â
Understanding local experience: Discuss and help the department understand local ECE community matters.Â
Assessment and rating: Join representatives from the NSW Regulatory Authority to discuss strategies you use to support your team and your service to feel prepared for assessment and rating.Â
