Join us for a free, hands-on echidna conservation workshop along the beautiful Bremer River in Ipswich!
Whether you’re a nature lover, wildlife carer, or just curious about echidnas, this community event is a fantastic opportunity to learn, connect, and contribute to science.
Led by local researcher Dr Kate Dutton-Regester, the session will cover:
Echidna ecology and conservation
How to identify diggings and scats in the wild
How to use camera traps to monitor local wildlife
How to get involved in community-led echidna monitoring
This event is proudly supported by Ipswich City Council and will be joined by the Mayor of Ipswich. All equipment will be provided, and no prior experience is needed. All ages welcome.
