Event description

REMEMBRANCE DAY FOR LOST SPECIES 2020

Remembrance Day for lost species has taken place for over a decade on November 30th.

Do you feel the uncomfortable heart-felt sensations of species extinction and the pain of our world?  This event invites you to participate in a 're-connecting with nature' eco-art practice, create an artwork for an online gallery, and join in an event to come together as a collective, transition feelings, and share our creative expression and reflections.

You may opt to exhibit without participating in the practice or gathering.

This experience contains 3 parts:

  1. Participants may choose to engage in a self-guided ecopsychology practice and eco-art creative expression component to create their 'artwork' No art experience required, in fact, it can be an advantage.
  2. Share an image or 2 (per participant) of your creative expression and a short reflection of your experience on GREENSONG KINSHIP FB page or via email: greensong.info@gmail.com They will be shared on online gallery as a collaborative project. Please share the URL link for performances, music, song or dance... (from a youtube or vimeo)
  3. Join the online Gathering on Monday 30th November, 12 noon (AEST-Melbourne Australia time:Time zone converter)  Sharing and reflecting on our experiences will deepen our relationships with the natural world and each other. Some of the gallery artworks will be presented and people present are invited to talk about their experience and reflections.
It is an opportunity to be truly present to each other, and feel strengthened in our capacity to continue to act for life on Earth. (Gathering is optional recognizing the time zone may not suit some people)

IMPORTANT DETAILS:

You do not have to be an artist! It can be an advantage not to be as learned thinking processes can block the intuitive creative flow.

YOU WILL RECEIVE CONFIRMATION EMAIL WITH THE DETAILS (PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM IF DON'T RECEIVE IT AFTER BOOKING)

Ecopsychology practice: You will receive an email with a link for the self-guided practice utilizing the Natural Systems Thinking Process.  This website page includes readings and links, and steps you through the process which includes consent, multi-sensing, re-connecting, and gratitude. Please set aside at least an hour unhurried outdoors to fully engage in the NSTP practice.  My ecopsychology practices do not focus on providing a lot of information, rather providing tools and experiences to explore, connect, relate, reflect, and sense your own self as part of the whole. You are invited to express yourself creatively however you choose within the practice or after completing it and add to the online gallery.
