🌿Ecocultural Coastal Walk: A Screen-Free Sunday Adventure🌿

🌊 Leave your screens behind and immerse yourself in the beauty of Shelly Beach and North Head! Join us for a circuit walk that’ll take us from Manly Beach to the stunning Shelly Beach and North Head of Sydney Harbour. We may even see some whales as they make their journey northward 🐳

Getting there:

We'll be meeting at Manly Life Saving Club (Ashburner St &, S Steyne, Manly NSW 2095). If you're taking public transport, head to Manly Wharf via the ferry or bus before walking along Manly Corso until you reach Manly Beach. Then turn south along the beach until you reach us!

What to Expect:

🌿 Eco-tour

Enjoy a rejuvenating hike through the stunning bushland along Sydney’s coastline, breathing in the fresh sea air and fully connecting with your senses and surroundings. Along the way, you might spot native wildlife, such as coastal birds, lizards, and even unique plant species like the coastal banksia and tea tree.

The track is approximately 2hrs, but we expect to take our time with spontaneous breaks to soak in the ocean views and immerse ourselves in local bushland. Come prepared for some hills and uneven ground!

🐋 Potential Whale Watching

Catch the awe-inspiring sight of humpback whales migrating along Sydney’s coast this June! You might even spot the rare southern right whale as they pass through!!

🥙 Picnic & Play

Please bring snacks and drinks to enjoy along the way. If you’re up for it, stick around after the event for a refreshing winter swim or to grab some lunch together.

• Your most comfortable walking shoes 👟

• Water bottle & snacks 🥤🍎

• Sunscreen & a hat 🧢

• Binoculars (optional, but highly recommended 🔭)

• Games, music, dance, DDD culture

👉 Leave Behind:

·      Your screens! Take the time to disconnect from your screens to connect with the world around you and the others walking along side you!
