Eco friendly tie dying
Event description
The Warilla Town Centre will come alive on Sunday 10 November when Shellharbour City Council holds an exciting new event, the Eco Eats and Beats Street Festival.
The Eco Eats and Beats Street Festival will be a vibrant event that showcases a variety of eco-friendly activations including long table dining using upcycled furnishings, workshops focusing on recycling and the re-use of materials, waste-wise activations, an upcycled market, kids' entertainment, nature play and street performances.
Workshop Details 🌿
Experience a rainbow of vibrant colour tie dying with eco friendly sustainable clothing dyes using Sunshine Dyes which are non-toxic, environmentally friendly and child safe.
Everyone will take home their beautiful tie-dye creations and the skills to continue this fun at home too.
Upcycle your own item into something unique! Bring along your own cotton shirts, bags and socks from home or purchase a tote bag on the day for an additional $5.
Items can be opened and dried on the spot, otherwise participants take their creations home with instructions on how to dry.

👥 Suitable for children aged 5years and older (children must be accompanied by an adult)
👕Bring along your own cotton shirts, bags and socks from home or purchase a tote bag on the day for an additional cost.
(Please note: only 1 x large item (t-shirt, pillowcase, tote bag) or 2 x small items (eg socks) will be able to be tie dyed in the workshop time frame. Please ensure items are 100% cotton. White works best but other light colours can work. This is the perfect way to give any old items a new lease on life. If you choose to bring a new item please wash beforehand)
Terms & Conditions
- Please arrive 5 minutes before scheduled time, if you do not arrive by the time of the start time then your spot will be forfeited
- Children must have an accompanying adult at all times, we ask that adults stand to the side and allow the facilitator to interact with participants and guide them through the workshop
- All supplies will only be provided for the registered person
- The facilitator will do their best to accommodate additional participants but cannot be guaranteed
