Event description

Join us for a sacred nature immersion to nurture your creativity and explore new ways to connect with the earth through the inspiring process of natural dyeing.

Together we will explore the natural dye method of the eco-print, and mindfully experiment with organic colours and patterns to create a one-of-a-kind piece of slow fashion. We will be working with a collection of flowers, native and exotic leaves as well as common food items.

We will start the day with a grounding, earth-centred meditation, before moving into our exploration of the eco print.

Throughout the event, you will have the opportunity to ask any questions about the method and connect with other like-minded people.

This workshop is beginner friendly, and all materials are supplied. This event is perfect for anyone over the age of 14.

What you will receive:

- Pre-treated tote bag and scarf or t-shirt for you to dye on the day

- Guidance and mentoring of the plant dyeing process

- A space to practice techniques, embrace curiosity and play with nature

- Care information for your beautiful new piece

- Catered snacks and tea

What to bring:

- Comfortable clothing you don’t mind getting dirty

Meet your facilitator:

Mikayla from @oshala.earthforms

Mikayla is the founder and sole creator behind Oshala Earthforms, she works primarily with the abundant natural materials collected straight from mother earth, intuitively crafting pieces that capture the beauty of nature - drawn from its spirit and individuality.

Her business began with clay camp fired jewellery, upcycled & hand dyed organic clothes and mugs to then tapping into the extensive range of products and techniques that is Oshala today.

Throughout her practice she honours each and every piece, intentionally creating with love and spirit whilst caring for the beautiful Mother Earth and all of her inhabitants.

We are so grateful to welcome this opportunity and would love to host and guide you through the beautiful plant dyeing process. If you have any questions about this workshop please feel free to contact us at Oshalaearthforms@outlook.com.

Mikayla xx
