    Event description

In this Ecoburbia At Home session you will learn all you need to know to have a great veggie patch at home.

This week we will be looking BASIC FOOD GARDENING

Are you keen to trying growing some food in your garden? Have you tried and failed to get a worthwhile crop?

This workshop will look at some of the basics – the structure, chemistry and microbiological life in your soil, how to get great soil, the best way to plant a seedling and seeds, the importance of mulch and how to choose what you should be growing in your garden. Bring along a soil sample from your garden. You will also get a tour of the gardens at Ecoburbia.

You will leave with everything you need to know to enjoy a bumper crop this season.

(Please note this is a beginning gardening workshop – we won’t cover everything!)

This workshop is $20 or a meal for four that can go in the freezer

Folk from the West Beacy Bunch are free!

Please also bring some finger food snacks to share during a break.
