Economics As If People Mattered
Event description
“Anyone who thinks that you can have infinite growth in a finite environment is either a madman or an economist” (David Attenborough).
Abundant evidence shows our present economic system is the key culprit in climate change, ecological destruction, growing inequality, and insecurity. We desperately need a new economic paradigm that is sustainable and equitable. The good news is that we know how to build that new economy. So, what’s stopping us? And what can we do to make it happen – before it’s too late?
Join us for an engaging night of thought provoking discussion about how with enough intelligence, imagination and compassion we can create economic and social reform that will care for the planet and all those who live on it.
