EcoVineyards Geelong Spring Field Day
Description
Winegrowers from across the Geelong wine region are invited to save the date for the first EcoVineyards Geelong Spring Field Day at Barwon Ridge in Barrabool.
EcoVineyards Geelong is a new program supporting winegrowers across the Surf Coast, Moorabool Valley and Bellarine Peninsula to improve soil health, ground cover management, biodiversity and vineyard resilience through practical, regionally relevant approaches.
Delivered by Retallack Viticulture in partnership with Corangamite Catchment Management Authority (CMA), EcoVineyards Geelong will offer two FREE events each year from November 2026 to June 2028, combining practical workshops, vineyard field walks, demonstrations and informal opportunities for winegrowers to exchange knowledge and experiences. Bellarine Landcare Group, Geelong Landcare Network, Bellarine Secondary College and Wine Geelong are also project partners.
The Spring Field Day will bring growers together to learn from industry experts, explore practical vineyard management approaches and connect with others interested in building productive, resilient vineyard systems.
EcoVineyards Geelong forms part of Corangamite CMA’s Diverse Farms Resilient Catchments project, which is a series of tailored education programs that support farmers to improve biodiversity and strengthen resilience across farms, communities and landscapes. It is supported by the Australian Government through funding from the Natural Heritage Trust under the Climate Smart Agriculture Program. EcoVineyards is delivered by Retallack Viticulture Pty Ltd with significant support from regional communities.
