We are super pleased to be vibing in Paekakariki for our next Ecstatic Dance and to make it an immersive event, we are adding a 45 minute Yoga class to open up the space, before moving into Ecstatic Dance.

💫 What is Ecstatic Dance?

A freeform, drug- and alcohol-free dance experience where you move however your body wants. The music flows like a wave — starting slow, rising to ecstatic peaks, then softening into stillness. It’s therapeutic, uplifting, and a powerful way to connect with yourself and community.

Please note, that this Ecstatic Dance is not verbally guided, we let the music guide you 😊. Dance freely how your body moves you.

🎶 This Dance Floor

Guided by DJ Kimba Jade, expect an immersive journey through deep bass, tribal rhythms, and global soundscapes that awaken both body and spirit. With 25 years behind the decks—including 9 years dedicated to Ecstatic Dance—Kimba crafts transformative spaces of joy, release, and connection.

🎶 The Sound System

Here at Ecstatic Dance Wellington, we believe in using a phat sound system with lots of bass for our dances. We will be bringing an ultra vibey and super bassy experience for you!

🎶 Yoga with Meihana

Kia ora ko Meihana ahau.

I’ve been practising yoga for 6 years and love sharing the benefits of movement, breath and connection. Join me for a gentle yoga flow with pranayama — a chance to slow down, reconnect and feel into your body before moving into ecstatic dance.

🕘 7:15pm – Ecstatic Dance with Kimba Jade

$30 Cash on the door for Ecstatic Dance. Must buy yoga tickets online for $35.

☀️ Extra Info

For those coming to yoga, doors are open from 6.15pm.

If you're doing the ecstatic dance only, you are welcome from 7.00pm.

We are very much looking forward to co-creating with the conscious dance community in Wellington and sharing our magic.
