EDGE 10:10 PRACTICAL PREACHING FOR PASTORS

A Professional Development Day offered by the BUV Support Hub for pastors who regularly preach.

Most pastors spend anywhere from 15 – 45 minutes each week, standing in front of their congregation who have gathered with the hope of hearing a word from God.
So much of what occurs in these moments is dependent on the value the pastor has attributed to the preaching of God’s Word.

Join us for a day of interactive teaching sessions and times for reflection and questions.

Rev Beth Jackson, BUV Head of Mission Catalyst & Ordination will urge us to preach good content in a way that allows for God to speak through us.
Rob Coyle, who has worked in Christian outreach and discipleship for over 40 years, will share his wisdom in two sessions, Preparation in preaching and Presentation when preaching.
And Rev Jonathan Stark, BUV Head of Pastoral Leadership Support & Development, will remind us of the importance of preaching and the need to keep learning and growing for the sake of our congregations.

Finally, we’ll share together any recommendations of great preaching resources we have discovered.

EDGE 10:10 are days offered to BUV pastors to help them flourish. Ecclesiastes 10:10 says, “If the axe is dull more strength is needed but skill will bring success.” This day is aimed as sharpening the axe, so that your preaching skill is sharpened. It will be a great day for sharpening your ministry skills.
