Event description
EDGE 10:10 is a day for Victorian Baptist Pastors aimed at encouraging, development, growth and empowerment. King Solomon, wrote “If the axe is dull and its edge unsharpened, more strength will be needed, but skill will bring success” Ecclesiastes 10:10. This day is for sharpening your pastoral edge.
This August we will be looking at the following topic:
Developing Emotional Intelligence in Pastoral Leadership
The smartest pastors aren’t necessarily the best! Pastoring a church involves much more than having a high intellectual quota. Pastoral ministry involves understanding yourself, your emotions and feelings and those of the people you pastor. How do we learn to identify and understand our reactions and responses? How can we lead with our whole self?
The Pastoral Leadership Support and Development team will help us to develop our emotional intelligence though interactive input and sharing. Come and meet with other pastors who are learning and growing together.
