CANCELLED - EDINBURGH: Why the Palestinians are the victims of 'new antisemitism'
Description
We are very sorry to have to cancel this event due to ill health. Please check the SPSC website and social media accounts for updates. www.scottishpsc.org.uk
Antony Lerman was the founding Chief Executive of the Institute for Jewish Policy Research and of what became the Rothschild Foundation Europe. He is the author of The Making and Unmaking of a Zionist: A Personal and Political Journey (2012) and Whatever Happened to Antisemitism? Redefinition and the Myth of the Collective Jew (2022).
Most recently, he was instrumental in the founding of Global Jews for Palestine (GJP) in 2025.
In 2014, he wrote "The only Zionism of any consequence today is xenophobic and exclusionary... carrying out an open-ended project of national self-realization to be achieved through colonization and purification of the tribe.”
Lerman is an authoritative voice on the 'new anti-Semitism' and its impact on the struggle for Palestinian liberation.
SPSC has always situated Palestine solidarity within the wider struggle against racism of every variety. We are hosting Antony Lerman's talks as a contribution to this struggle.
