Curated and facilitated by Future Anything’s engaging and experienced educators, the day will be packed with professional learning, networking and hands-on collaboration amongst the vines. Together we’ll explore best practice and learn about emerging trends in education and industry. But most importantly, the day will be packed with practical tools and applied learning that teachers can implement in their classroom the very next day.

BUILDING CAPABILITIES IN THE CLASSROOM

Let’s dive into the skills and attributes our young people will need to navigate life on the other side of the school gates. We know capabilities (or 21st Century Skills or soft skills) are important, but how do we teach them? And, can we measure them? We’ll walk through a framework to explicitly measure and build capabilities in every classroom and explore real world examples of the best in capability-rich learning. 

ENGAGING CURRICULUM & JOYFUL ASSESSMENT 

Can curriculum be fun and real-world aligned? Can we take the latest thinking in project-based learning, design thinking and inquiry and entrepreneurial pedagogies and actually apply it to curriculum in our own classrooms? And, could it be possible to reframe assessment into a vehicle that drives joy, discovery, and personal excellence? Yes, yes and yes! 

UNLEASING ENTERPRISING THINKERS IN EVERY CLASSROOM

Entrepreneurship is all very well, but how do we build enterprising thinkers and doers in every classroom? We’ll share tricks of the design thinking trade and unpack practical tools and resources that transform the theory into practical. Empower your young people to identify the authentic problems that matter to them, then to ideate, prototype and pitch innovative solutions
