Preparing for High School
The workshop is an informative workshop by Alison Maunder who is the Education Specialist here at Down Syndrome NSW.
This workshop will help parents, carers and educators to understand the steps involved with the process of transitioning your child/student to high school.
Alison’s extensive experience in education, particularly in supporting children with Down syndrome, informs her role as an Education Specialist at Down Syndrome NSW.
Alison has over 20 years of experience in the field, Alison is a staunch advocate for inclusive education practices that empower individuals with Down syndrome to achieve their full potential. Her expertise in literacy development, behaviour support, and family liaison has made her a valuable resource for families and educators alike.
Alison's commitment to promoting inclusive practices extends beyond the classroom, as she actively engages with the broader community to raise awareness and advocate for the rights of individuals with Down syndrome.
