Environment Education Victoria Awards 2020
Event description
The Environment Education Victoria Awards are going virtual in 2020!
Join us for an hour of celebrations from 7pm AEST on Friday the 27th of November!
The awards will be opened by the Minister for Energy, Environment and Climate Change, Minister Lily D'Ambrosio, with a welcome by Parliamentary Secretary for Schools, Mr Tim Richardson MP.
And we're excited to announce Dr Josh Byrne as our keynote speaker for the night, a widely respected sustainability practitioner and environmental scientist and well known for his work on the ABC's Gardening Australia program!
We'll also be travelling around Victoria to the educators at Parks Victoria 🌳, the Royal Botanic Gardens 🌷 and Phillip Island Nature Parks 🐧 who will be announcing our awards!
Register now and details of how to join the celebrations online will be emailed closer to the night! 🥳🎉
More than ever after such a challenging year, it's important to celebrate the successes of our educators who have mastered online meetings, digital video making & virtual education with energy and creativity. And the incredible students who have come up with some amazing sustainability projects outside the classroom - all while completing virtual school or uni!
Nominations for the awards are still open until Monday 9th of November, so nominate yourself, students or colleagues so we can celebrate your wins together as a community! There is a $500 cash grant for each of our winners along with a FREE 12-month EEV membership and a hamper of beautiful, locally sourced products.
The Awards will cover projects completed in the 2019-2020 financial year and nominations are open across three categories.
