Effective Internal Audits

Event description

Interactive training which provides learners with the essential information about conducting internal audits effectively to add value to your organisation.

Effective Internal Audits

This interactive 2 hour training will provide learners with the essential information about conducting internal audits effectively, adopting a plan, do check, act (PDCA) approach.  The training is delivered by our Technical Manager, Patty Wassenaar who has decades of auditing experience.

Internal audits often focus on compliance with requirements based on procedures.  Effective internal audits demonstrate whether systems are working well, as planned, providing supports and services to our clients/participants that meet their needs as well as meeting regulatory and compliance requirements.

This workshop will cover:

  • What is Process Auditing?
  • Planning audits that address risks (Plan and Do)
  • Developing an audit program
  • Conducting the audit (Check)
  • Reporting and corrective actions (Act)

You will also be provided with a workbook and mini toolkit providing some useful tools and information to help you with your internal audit program.

Benefits

Internal Audits are a mandatory requirement of the NDIS Practice Standards. On completion of this training learners will leave with practical tips and tools to develop and implement an effective internal audit program. Although focused to NDIS requirements, the training is also relevant to other sectors.
