"Effective Mentoring": How to Create and Nurture Effective Mentoring Relationships

The Atlassian Foundation has engaged the Institute of Community Directors Australia (ICDA) to deliver “Effective Mentoring” training.

This workshop gives prospective mentors an opportunity to hear about what becoming a mentor would entail, and skills to feel confident to apply for a position as a mentor. 

This session will cover:
- Introduction to skilled mentorship
- Importance of mentorship in driving social impact
- Defining the role of a skilled mentor
- Understanding mentee needs
- Mentoring strategies and techniques
- Cultural awareness and inclusivity
- Overcoming challenges in mentorship
- Case studies and role-playing
- Building a lasting mentorship relationship
- Action planning and next steps
