EFT/Tapping for Rescue Dogs Group 2
Event description
After an overwhelming number of people on a Facebook group for those supporting rescue dogs expressed an interest in learning EFT/Tapping to support Rescue Dogs, my colleague Amanda (UK) and I (NZ) decided to run two free workshops online. We know that a lot of people who sign up intending to attend a free workshop don't actually attend, and we don't want people to miss out because of this despite our limit for 100 people on our zoom account. So we are offering for people to register for whichever workshop is in the best time zone for you, and then the first 100 people on each of the two zoom calls will attend live, and everyone else will be able to get a link to the video recording free of charge.
The workshops will teach you:
How trauma and stress show up in a rescue's nervous system
How EFT/Tapping works in the brain of an animal
How regular Tapping can help build resilience for a rescue
How to do surrogate tapping for any animal
The workshops will also include case studies of working with 5 different rescue dogs, which demonstrate how EFT/Tapping can be used to work with trauma & emotional first aid, and phobias & anxiety; and two or three demos in each workshop. The workshops will conclude with Q & A to cover anything not covered in the main body of the workshop.
The workshops are being taught by Jo Hainsworth, who got into EFT/Tapping 20 years ago when her partner's two rescues taught her how powerful it was. Jo is a trained EFT practitioner, and a certified Havening Techniques practitioner; with a wealth of experience supporting both humans and animals with these simple yet powerful tools. The course is assisted by Amanda Raine a Somatic Trauma Informed Life Coach and IFS, Havening, NVC and First Aid for Trauma Tapping Practitioner.
For those unfamiliar with EFT/Tapping, it is a simple method in which you focus on the challenging behaviour or symptoms of the animal, and then you tap of various points on our body that help to calm the fight/flight centre in the brain. While we believe we understand how EFT/Tapping works, we still don't really understand how it works surrogately, we just understand after observing the effects year in and year out that it does!
