Event description

This year? Things will be different. This year? Christmas is coming early as Ego Problem present Christmas in July Live!

For four and a half years Lil' Silky and Good Brother have been jingling with the best of them and sleighing the festive blues away with their annual Christmas songs. From the tragi-comedy of 2020's festive manifesto, "Christmas Ain't for Lovers", to the introspective slam-rap of 2021's, "Santa Why?", to 2022's lovelorn confessional, "Nevermind (This Christmas Time)", and all the way to 2023's heartache rockabilly anthem, "Sideswipin' Santa", each year has seen a new Ego Problem Christmas installment.

However, there has been no live performance of these songs. Until now.

As a celebration of the impending half-decade milestone, Christmas in July will see Ego Problem's entire Christmas anthology performed live for the very first time! But that's not all, same as it ever was, Ego Problem have been in the lab brewing up something fresh and as such, this concert will also see the birth of an entirely new genre with the performance of their new hit: "Christmas in July"!

On support is Lucky Max - the latest 4-piece neo-soul powerhouse from Naarm lead Harrison Clarke (piano, vox) featuring Mark Aird (drums), Aydin Gunes Sari (guitar) and Josh Ten (bass). With influences from Dijon, D'Angelo, Mac Miller and Jaco Pastorious, Lucky Max have a dense set of original groovy vibes to make you move!

So get on down, order an eggnog (or a longneck, we've seen the receipts) and let's get festive, wooh!
