Sheep and goat electronic identification

Join the Hon. Dugald Saunders MP, Minister for Agriculture and Western NSW and NSW Department of Primary Industries for an information session on sheep and goat electronic identification (eID).  

Other topics include: 

Foot and mouth disease and lumpy skin disease
  • Latest situational update and how NSW is preparing 
  • What a response to an outbreak would look like 
  • What are some of the things you can do on-farm 
Export and market access update
  • The role eID plays in overseas market
Proposed updates to the National Livestock
Identification System database and eNVD.

  • How these relate to the introduction of eID? 

Introduction to the Going with Goats project by Local Land Services. 
  • Presented by Local Land Service

People from all sectors of the sheep and goat industry are invited, including producers, feedlotters, stock and station agents, advisers and those involved in saleyard, abattoir and knackeries management.   

Local Land Services District Veterinary Officers will be at the event if you have any farm biosecurity questions.
