Summer Solstice approaches, and with it the sun beams down with more force, warming our faces, our blood, our spirits.
The Elderflower is cooling medicine for these times, its aromatic & astringent properties assisting digestion, cooling fevers, opening airways and refreshing our senses.
The time of Litha is among us, we make our way towards the abundance of the year, everything ripening, flowering, opening, fruiting...
fresh juice dripping down our chins, our lips starting to chap and burn as we tend the land, as we wildcraft and forage, garden....
Dirt under our nails, clothes drying easily in the sun, friends and rivers, birds squawking, babies squealing, insects littering the air at dusk, the sunset burnished bright behind their wings...
Clouds dissolving peach into violet later in the day, darkness is offered as an entree, the main meal is DAY - the full, brimming, blissful day.
A time of action, a time of celebration. Friends, Family... concentrating on what matters.
Elder has much folklore tied to Midsummer, so please join us to learn more about what this plant offers during this season.
An evening to gather with folk that love to connect with the plants.
