Description

Join Duncan Cotterill for a panel discussion ahead of the 2026 General Election

The 2026 election is shaping up to be an unusually open contest. Support for the two major parties is at historically low levels, the minor parties are attracting a significant share of the vote, and relatively small shifts in support could have a significant bearing on the shape and direction of the next Government.

What is driving voters? Where will the election be won and lost? How much influence could the minor parties have over the next Government and its policy agenda? And what could the different possible outcomes mean for New Zealand businesses?

The discussion will be moderated by Anna Whyte, Political Correspondent and Parliamentary Press Gallery Chair, who will also join the panel alongside political commentator and pollster David Farrar, former Cabinet Minister Kris Faafoi, and former Member of Parliament Stephen Franks.

The panel discussion will be followed by audience Q&A.
