Election wrap
Event description
Join us for a deep dive into the federal election with two fantastic speakers!
Frank Bongiorno AM is a professor of history at the ANU with a particular interest in Australian political history, and a regular political commentator. He is the author of several books including The Eighties: The Decade That Transformed Australia, and Dreamers and Schemers.
Malcolm Baalman is a former independent’s political adviser and a public health advocate. He has been analysing Australian elections since the 1990s. His analysis will centre on the national political momentum for alternative representation from the established political parties, with a particular focus on Bean and the ACT.
This is an informal, locally focussed event run by Active Democracy Bean on the third Monday of the month. People gather from 5.30pm, with formal proceedings starting at 6pm. Hope to see you there for a drink and a chat as we debrief the election!
