Election Sign Pre-Approved Application
Before Applying
This application is for the placement of Electoral Advertising Signage on Public Land, that is included in the Yarra Ranges Council's pre-approved site locations.
Before proceeding with the application, ensure you have thoroughly reviewed the obligations and requirements associated with the process, including the conditions governing election signage on public land and the locations that have been identified and designated as prohibited for sign installation.
A permit is not required for any authorised sign which is placed out on the day of the election for the sole purpose of advertising the location of a voting centre.
Applications require a 10-business day processing period. Please ensure you submit your application at least 10 business days before your proposed placement date.
Note: Fees are non-refundable.

- Electoral Sign Details
Your electoral sign must comply with the below conditions:
The size of the Electoral Advertising Board must not exceed 1.4m wide by 1.8m high.
Boards may not be installed in landscape orientation unless the width is less than 1.4m.
Electoral Sign(s) must be drafted and printed in a professional manner to the satisfaction of Council.
