Join us for a rare behind-the-scenes look at Woodhaven Gardens, one of Horowhenua’s largest and most innovative businesses. Woodhaven now spans 1,800+ hectares, grows over 20 vegetable varieties, and employs 250+ staff.

Deborah Manning ONZM – Founder of KiwiHarvest & NZ Food Network: Transforming NZ’s food rescue and sustainability landscape.
Deborah Manning ONZM, Lawyer turned social entrepreneur who is a trailblazer in sustainability and food security, transforming New Zealand’s food rescue landscape through her venture KiwiHarvest, and the New Zealand Food Network. In 2025, Deborah was awarded the New Zealand Sustainability Leader of the Year Award at the Kiwibank New Zealander of the Year Awards. She will speak about her journey and the launch of Mana Kai.
Horowhenua Mana Kai Network Launch, born from a January 2025 hui on rising food insecurity, the Mana Kai Network connects local kai initiatives to create long-term change. Hear how this community-led, Council-supported collaboration is improving food access and equity across Horowhenua.
