Jeremy Spencer, Sustainable Builders Alliance & Positive Footprints
For two decades Jeremy has been a registered builder, energy assessor and director at design & build company Positive Footprints. Positive Footprints have won multiple awards for sustainability and worked to show that energy-efficient sustainable design and high-performance net zero home construction is a cost-effective option and can be a mainstream reality.
An educator, National Sustainability Awards judge, past DMN director, and creator of the True Zero Carbon Challenge & True Zero Embodied Carbon Spreadsheet, Jeremy is passionate about spreading knowledge on how to build better.
Jeremy is also a proud founding director of the Sustainable Builders Alliance and lead writer for the SBA website and it's industry resource, the Roadmap to Net Zero Homes - a free practical guide on how to design, build, and achieve cost effective Net Zero outcomes.
Marcella Palma, Goodbye Gas
Trained with a Master's degree in Architecture, Marcella spent eight years specialising in sustainable electric architecture across single-residential, multi-residential, and precinct-scale projects. Marcella is a founding member of Goodbye Gas. Goodbye Gas is a home electrification service with the goal of making home electrification easy by handling all the hard parts. Now, three years into full operation and heading into its fourth year, Marcella leads the business operations.
Paul Vines, Regional Manager (VIC/TAS) Stiebel Eltron
Paul leads the VIC/TAS team at STIEBEL ELTRON, working with builders and designers to deliver sustainable solutions in hot water, heating, and ventilation. Originally from Perth, Paul brings a practical, customer-focused approach to supporting energy-efficient building outcomes. Outside of work, Paul has a strong background in football, having played and coached in the WAFL with Subiaco Football Club. He is currently an assistant coach at Williamstown Football Club in the VFL.
