Electrify Wairarapa - Rural Series - Event Two

What does solar and smart technology actually look like on a working dairy farm?

Join us at Fernhill Dairies for a practical on-farm morning exploring how solar, electrification and emerging dairy technology can fit into a modern farming system.

See Fernhill Dairies’ existing solar installation in action, hear about its performance to date and what’s being considered next.

We’ll also look at smart technology being used on farm, including SenseHub collars, milk meters, SCC testing and the data these systems can provide to support farm management decisions.

There will also be a selection of electric farm bikes on display

You’ll hear from farmers and industry specialists covering:

• Solar performance and future opportunities

• Electrification and decarbonisation on farm

• EECA’s Solar on Farms programme, tools and resources

• SenseHub collar technology

• Milk meters and SCC testing

• Turning farm data into useful information

• Considerations when investigating investment in solar and smart technology

Come along, have a look at the technology in action, ask questions and hear directly from those using and supporting it.
