Electrify Your Home: Practical Energy Upgrades Workshop - February

Join Electrify Everything WA for a practical, hands-on community workshop on home electrification.

Thinking about buying an EV, installing solar or battery storage, upgrading your hot water system, or moving away from gas? Whether you have already made the switch or are thinking about upgrading in the future, this interactive workshop will help you understand the benefits of household electrification, the products best suited to your home and create a clear, personalised plan for your household's sustainable upgrades.

Electrify Everything WA facilitators will guide you through the why and how of home electrification, covering technologies such as efficient heat pump hot water systems, induction cooking, rooftop solar, battery storage and electric vehicles. You'll learn how these upgrades can help reduce energy bills, improve home comfort and health, increase resilience, and lower your environmental impact.

A key part of the workshop is the development of your own Household Electrification Plan. With support from experienced facilitators and volunteers, you'll identify the upgrades that make the most sense for your household, budget and preferences, and leave with practical next steps you can begin implementing straight away.

The workshop also provides an opportunity to connect with like-minded residents and help build a local community network to support household electrification across Cockburn.

This practical and interactive session will help you:

• Understand the financial, health, comfort and environmental benefits of going all-electric.

• Explore real-world examples of electrified homes in Western Australia.

• Learn about available rebates, incentives, financing options and future-ready technologies.

• Develop your own Household Electrification Plan with one-on-one guidance and support.

• Connect with local residents who are interested in sharing knowledge and experiences on the electrification journey.

Whether you're just starting to explore your options or ready to take the next step, this workshop will give you the knowledge, confidence and practical tools to make informed decisions about electrifying your home.

The City of Cockburn is committed to sustainability and supporting actions that reduce environmental impacts and contribute to a more resilient, low-emissions community.
