Elevate your Allyship series

We’re hosting an exclusive series of events designed to deepen your understanding and strengthen your practice as an ally.

Open to current members of the Monash LGBTIQA+ Ally Network and those wanting to get involved in the Network, the 'Elevate your Allyship' series is an opportunity for us to come together, learn, and build our knowledge in LGBTIQA+ inclusion, empowerment and celebration. Coordinated by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education) Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Team, the series will be hosted in a ‘lunch and learn’ style format online.

• Wednesday 3 December, 12-1pm AEDT

  Hear from Ricki Spencer, an educator, qualified social worker, and advocate with lived and living expertise at the intersections of First Nations, LGBTIQA+ and disability identities. Ricki will speak to their knowledge and experiences in advocating for greater accessibility to services and community, particularly with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and queer youth.

The vision is that this is a collaborative series where you – members of the LGBTIQA+ Ally Network – tell us what topic you would like to learn more about in the context of allyship, or which guest speakers you’d like to invite, with the hope that you may even want to host a session yourself!
