Meet the presenter:
Elle Holiday is a voice-specialising Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), singing teacher, vocal coach, and performer. She is deeply passionate about making individuals feel seen and heard on their vocal journey, offering a flexible and kind approach to singing education. Elle focuses on vocal technique retraining, performance conditioning, belt training, and confidence building, catering to contemporary, musical theatre, jazz, rock, and R&B singers. She aims to help singers move away from feelings of shame and inadequacy, encouraging exploration without rigid rules, and providing clear, practical vocal education in a non-judgemental environment.
With her dual expertise as an SLP and singing teacher, Elle efficiently identifies and addresses vocal challenges. She uses targeted exercises to enhance progress, helping singers and singing teachers alike to navigate new vocal techniques. Elle challenges conventional voice models, advocating for a holistic, evidence-based approach tailored to each individual's unique vocal needs. Her dedication extends to helping trans individuals find their most authentic and safe voice, guiding them through their vocal journey with understanding and support.
Elle recognises that access to voice education may not be available to everyone, which is why she runs an Instagram account, @VocaLabAU, providing free, evidence-based voice education in simple language. This aligns with VocaLab's mission to create "confident, knowledgeable and empowered vocalists and vocal educators by making evidence-based voice knowledge accessible to everyone." Her platform serves as a valuable resource for those seeking a deeper understanding of their voice.
With an extensive background in singing training, teaching, and performance, combined with clinical expertise, Elle has become a leading figure in vocal health and technique. Her services are in demand by high-profile performers and production companies worldwide. Recognising the demands of professional singing, especially in touring and musical theatre productions, she offers specialised packages to maintain vocal health, stamina, and quality on the road. Elle's ability to provide effective solutions to vocal issues makes her an invaluable asset to any production team, ensuring performers maintain optimal vocal function throughout their careers.
