ELT Hackathon - Language for Real Life
Event description
When we focus on what learners need to do with language, not just on grammar rules, we prepare them for real success — inside and outside the classroom.
In this Hackathon we'll look at the functional language approach, and:
- features of real life communication
- how to stage a functional language lesson
- how to support functional language development
And as usual, you'll have the chance to work with teachers from around the world in breakout groups to share ideas and collaboratively plan activities.
Active participation is a must in this practical workshop. Participants will receive a certificate, and earn 3 English Australia CPD points.
This is an inclusive event open to ELT teachers of all levels of
experience and language backgrounds. All ideas are welcome and
celebrated.
