A book launch celebrating the poetry of elysian: Everything Is All Very Nice
Event description
Join us at Clockshop on Saturday, September 21 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM for the book launch of Everything Is All Very Nice, a limited edition collection of poetry written by David Thorne. The poems in this book (terse, long-winded, genuine, and accurate if somewhat snarky takes on the LA food scene) were originally embedded in emails that went out regularly to elysian diners, fans and haters.
Enjoy small bites and refreshments from ex-elysian cooks and a Q&A session between Thorne and Evan Kleiman as we celebrate the restaurant and chef that has nourished Clockshop as we have grown. Ticket price will get you admission, food and drinks, and a copy of the poetry book.
If you can not attend, pre-order a copy of Everything Is All Very Nice here.
ACCESSIBILITY
Arrival
Clockshop is located at 2806 Clearwater Street, Los Angeles, CA 90039. Note: Due to some neighborhood street closures on September 21, parking will be extremely limited. We always recommend carpooling or ridesharing as parking availability can be impacted by neighbors like Salazar and Zebulon.
Parking options
There is street parking surrounding the building. If you are driving, we recommend searching for parking on Clearwater St, Fruitdale St, and Worthen Ave. Please be mindful of two-hour parking on Ripple Street.
If you plan to arrive by bus, there are two bus stops nearby: 603 on Fletcher/Ripple and 182 on Fletcher/Crystal. If you are planning to bike, you are welcome to bring in your bike for safe keeping during the event.
