Embodied Anatomy & Dancing June-August 2026
Description
Embodied Anatomy & Dancing classes with Kim Sargent-Wishart, Certified Teacher of Body-Mind Centering® and BodyMind Dancing™.
Explore your dynamic anatomy through images, self-touch and movement. Based in Body-Mind Centering®, class time includes anatomical imagery and information, guided touch and somatic movement journeys, and time for dancing (whatever that means for you in the moment). There's also some time for drawing and writing if you like.
Recordings will be available to anyone who registers, so you can also do the class at a time that suits you.
26 June - Lymphatic System
Lymph flows from the fluid around every cell through a network of channels back to the heart. Moving with attention to the lymphatic fluid and vessels can bring a clarity, directness and efficiency to movement. Body movement supports healthy circulation of the fluids.
31 July - Hands & Wings
Explore how organization of the hand connects through the shoulders and torso, supporting expressive movement and weight-bearing. We'll work with bone tracing, muscle spiralling and reflexes to find our wings!
28 August - Spinal Architecture
With an embryological approach, this session explores the layers of tissue that interact to create the spine - our living, breathing central axis.
Fridays 10-11:30am Melbourne time (UTC +10)
Sliding scale $15-35 per session, pay what you can.
