Embodied Breathwork
Description
The Thread Through Time
An embodied breathwork journey for the turning of the year
Long before us, women stood on this land and watched the year turn just as it's turning now: the harvest gathered, the fires lit, the nights lengthening toward Samhain. Their endurance, their tenderness, their quiet strength still move through us. And now it's our turn to pause at the threshold and feel it.
In this class, we'll use the breath as a doorway to sense ourselves as one thread in a long, living line, woven from all those who came before us and reaching toward all who will come after. You don't need to know your family history or feel connected to specific ancestors. This is about belonging, about remembering that you didn't arrive here alone, and about feeling the quiet resilience that lives in your breath and bones.
However you relate to your lineage, you're welcome exactly as you are. Everything in the class is an invitation, and you're always free to simply rest.
What to expect
We'll begin by arriving and settling, then move through gentle, trauma-informed somatic breathwork to soften and release what's ready to be let go. From there, we'll drop into a guided journey along the thread through time, before slowly returning and grounding back into the body and the room.
What to bring
A blanket, as the body can cool during breathwork
A pillow
Water
A journal and pen,
Wear comfortable, loose layers
It's best to avoid a heavy meal in the hour or two before class, so you feel as comfortable as possible.
Please note
Breathwork is a powerful practice. If you are pregnant, have epilepsy, a heart condition, high blood pressure, have had recent surgery, or are living with a significant mental health condition, please get in touch before booking so we can talk through whether this class is right for you.
I'd love to breathe with you as we step into this season together.
